“Our monthly long set poetry evening puts our favourite established performance poets on stage for a full 60 minutes, so you can really see their talent and get into the breadth and depth of their work. The show also gives a chance for local up-and-coming poets to present 30 minutes of their work. Tonight’s poets are:-

MELLOW BAKU – Performs throughout the UK and internationally, collaborating with artists in ensembles to orchestras, and also working solo. Artist, writer and composer of song, spoken word and jazz, she’s completed two albums, numerous recordings and delivers a range of workshops in public groups, schools and on hospital wards. Her performances range from soulful folk, jazz and roots with acoustic guitar to live looping, experimental digital soundscapes and poetry. Whether in local bars, community spaces, concert venues in London or gigs in New York, Mellow sees performances as magical opportunities for people including herself to connect, share, provoke and explore.

DAN WALLBANK – A man who refuses to be put in a box, mostly because he is quite tall and won’t fit. Equal parts Clark Kent, Sylar and Jemaine Clement, Dan has turned his hand to illustration, photography, comedy, poetry and writing.”
